The Economic Offences Wing of Jammu Crime Branch on Monday produced a chargesheet against former Principal in the Court of law for cheating and duping the complainant of his hard earned money on the pretext of arranging a Government Job under SRO-43 in favour of the latter's daughter.
The Crime Branch spokesman said that a chargesheet was produced against the accused Davindra Singh Soodan, resident of Ward No. 14, Kathua (the then Principal, Higher Secondary School Panorma in District Rajouri).
He said that a written complaint was lodged by Ghulam Sadeeq, resident of Darhal Rajouri, alleging that accused Davinder Singh was working as a Principal in Panorma Private Academy in Rajouri and in the year 2016 his daughters were studying in the same School where he used to visit and meet him.
The complainant talked to the accused that his wife was a government teacher who had expired long back and to absorb his daughter as Government Employee in place of his wife under SRO 43.
The accused as per the complainant, the spokesman said that he told him that he would process her case for which money was needed.
"The complainant was assured that he would get the appointment done and in order to get the job for his daughter under SRO 43 the complainant paid Rs 1,54,000 to the accused but thereafter he neither arranged job in favour of complainant's daughter nor return money thus cheated the complainant deliberately and intentionally," said the spokesman.
He stated that during the course of investigation relevant records were seized, statements of witnesses recorded, scientific, circumstantial and other material evidence was gathered and offences under relevant sections were established against the accused for having cheated and duped the complainant of his hard earned money.
"Chargesheet was produced in the Court of law against the accused person for judicial determination," he added.
